Ownership of Artwork

All artwork created by NoCtrl Collective remains the intellectual property of the artist unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Purchasing artwork or services does not automatically transfer ownership or commercial rights.

Personal Use License (Default)

Unless a commercial license is purchased, all commissioned artwork is provided under a personal use license only.

This allows you to:

• Display the artwork privately
• Print for personal use
• Share on personal social media (credit encouraged)

This does not allow:

• Selling the artwork
• Using it for merchandise
• Using it for branding, marketing, or advertising
• Minting as NFTs or digital resale
• Redistribution or modification for profit

Commercial Use License (Optional Upgrade)

A commercial license must be purchased if the artwork will be used for any profit-generating or business purpose.

Commercial use includes (but is not limited to):

• Apparel or merchandise
• Posters or prints for sale
• Branding or logos
• Marketing or advertising
• Album covers or book covers
• Website or product visuals
• Paid digital downloads

Commercial licenses are priced separately and depend on:

• Scope of usage
• Distribution scale
• Industry
• Duration of use

What a Commercial License Includes

Unless otherwise stated, a commercial license grants:

• Permission to use the artwork for the agreed purpose
• Non-exclusive usage rights
• Use across the agreed platforms or products

The artist retains copyright unless a full buyout is negotiated.

Exclusive Licenses & Buyouts

Exclusive licenses or full copyright buyouts are available by request only and require a separate agreement.

Pricing varies based on:

• Exclusivity duration
• Industry usage
• Distribution reach

Credit

Where reasonable, credit to NoCtrl Collective or the artist is appreciated but not required for commercial use unless specified in the agreement.

Prohibited Uses

Artwork may not be:

• Used in illegal, hateful, or defamatory content
• Resold or sublicensed without permission
• Claimed as original work by another party
• Used to train AI or machine learning models without written consent

If your project doesn’t fit neatly into the options above, custom licensing agreements can be arranged.
